First built in 1904 the Marion Hotel is a rare example of an extant Oklahoma City pre-statehood commercial building. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing resource to the Automobile Alley Historic District placed on the Register in 1999. The once grand testament to Classic Revival architecture had been vacant since 1985. Extensively restored by Midtown Renaissance, the building underwent significant structural rehabilitation and now provides premier upscale apartments for the area. A long awaited project and popular attraction in its state of previous disrepair, the building is even more stately in its restored status.
PandDStudio served as the historic preservation consultants and preservation tax credit facilitators for the project, which was recognized by a Citation of Merit awarded by the Oklahoma State Historic Preservation Officer.
